Tourism activities in Indonesia are starting to become a
trend and lifestyle in its own community. So that tourism activities are
expected to become a mainstay sector that is able to drive other economic
sectors that are closely related. The government in addition to aggressively
attracting foreign tourists to increase foreign exchange, is also trying to
increase the number of tourists visiting the archipelago (wisnus). The journey
undertaken by archipelago tourists is able to revive the transportation sector,
hospitality, creative industries and so on. Considering the importance of the
availability of data and information regarding travel activities and all
related aspects in detail, accuracy, and on time, a planned collection of these
data is needed. One of the efforts made in gathering this information is
through the 2019 Nusantara Tourist Survey to continue similar activities in
2017.
In October, BPS-Statistics of Kolaka TimurRegency updated
the activities of updating and enumerating domestic tourists in the third
quarter. A total of 7 people from partners acted as enumerators while 3
supervisors came from organic (BPS-Statistics of Kolaka Timur Regency
employees). Activities for updating the third quarter of the holidays will be
held on 1-10 October 2019, while the enumeration will take place on 15-25 October
2019. The number of samples sampled quarterly is 9 census blocks, which vary
each quarter.
