Abstract

    The number of workforce in February 2019 was 1,296,494 people, an increase of 9,871 people (0.77 percent) compared to February 2018 and an increase of 35,046 people (2.78 percent) compared to February 2017.
  • The population working in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2019 was 1,258,102 people, an increase of 7,373 people (0.59 percent) compared to February 2018 and an increase of 36,218 people (2.96 percent) compared to February 2017.
  • The February 2019 Work Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was 71.62 percent, down 1.11 percentage points compared to February 2018 and down 1.43 percentage points compared to February 2017.
  • The February 2019 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 2.96 percent, up 0.17 percentage points compared to February 2018 and down 0.18 percentage points compared to February 2017.
  • The business fields that absorb the population work mostly are agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, where the percentage of the population works reaches 37.10 percent in February 2019.
  • In February 2019, 64.07 percent of the population worked in informal activities and the percentage of informal workers fell 1.43 percentage points compared to February 2018.
  • In February 2019, 37.15 percent of the population worked not full (working hours less than 35 hours a week) covering 11.24 percent of the unemployed and 25.91 percent of part-time workers.
