Abstract

    In March 2019, the level of inequality in Southeast Sulawesi population expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.399. This figure is up by 0.007 points compared to the September 2018 Gini Ratio which is 0.392. Meanwhile, when compared with the March 2018 Gini Ratio of 0.409, the March 2019 Gini Ratio fell by 0.010 points.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2019 was recorded at 0.406 down compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2018 which amounted to 0.410 and compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2018 which amounted to 0.420. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2019 was recorded at 0.361 up compared to September 2018 which was recorded at 0.356 but declined compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2018 which amounted to 0.370.
  • As of March 2019, the distribution of expenditure for the lowest 40 percent of the population is 16.01 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of moderate inequality. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is recorded at 15.18 percent which means it is in the category of moderate inequality. While for rural areas, the figure is recorded at 17.63 percent, which means it falls into the category of low inequality.
