The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in February 2024 for Southeast Sulawesi Province was 2.90 percent

Abstract

In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province was 2.90 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.62. The highest inflation occurred in Konawe Regency at 4.10 percent with a CPI of 107.76 and the lowest occurred in Kendari City at 2.27 percent with a CPI of 104.76.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.34 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.56 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.77 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.86 percent; health group by 2.35 percent; transportation group by 2.24 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.57 percent; education group at 3.38 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.97 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.62 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.91 percent.
Month to month (m-to-m) inflation for Southeast Sulawesi Province is 0.19 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation for Southeast Sulawesi Province in February 2024 is 0.16 percent.
