Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province will be 2.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.28. The highest inflation occurred in Konawe Regency at 4.30 percent with a CPI of 108.60 and the lowest occurred in Kolaka Regency at 2.34 percent with a CPI of 106.14.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.12 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.14 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.15 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.46 percent; health group at 0.44 percent; transportation group by 1.86 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.07 percent; education group at 3.38 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.06 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.59 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.90 percent.
Southeast Sulawesi Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.62 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.79 percent.
