Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.

Southeast Sulawesi's Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2024 rose 5.23 percent from 110.86 to 116.66. The increase in NTP was caused by the price index received by farmers (It) increasing by 5.65 percent. higher than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) of 0.40 percent.

The NTP for each subsector is recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 98.49; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 113.22; People's Plantation Plantation Subsector (NTPR) 133.57; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 108.44 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 99.63. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 116.79 or decreased by 2.18 percent from the previous month's 119.39.

In April 2024, there will be an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.50 percent, one of the causes of which is dominated by an increase in the index value in the clothing and footwear expenditure group.
