Abstract

Sulawesi Tenggara's export value in December 2024 reached US$318.26 million or a decrease of 15.14 percent compared to November 2024 exports which were recorded at US$375.04 million. Correspondingly, the export volume in December 2024 was recorded at 280.95 thousand tons or a decrease of 2.12 percent compared to the export volume in November 2024 which was recorded at 287.04 thousand tons.
According to Sector, Sulawesi Tenggara's exports in December 2024 were dominated by the processing industry sector amounting to US$316.26 million (99.37 percent).
Sulawesi Tenggara's largest exports in December 2024 were to China, namely US$269.61 million, followed by India worth US$34.40 million and South Korea worth US$12.40 million.
The import value of Sulawesi Tenggara in December 2024 reached US$129.22 million, up 26.40 percent compared to November 2024 or down 29.58 percent compared to December 2023. The import volume in December 2024 was worth 360.38 thousand tons, up 1.95 percent compared to November 2024 or down 26.47 percent compared to December 2023.
The three largest suppliers of imported goods during December 2024 are Singapore worth US$69.30 million, China worth US$33.69 million, and Russia US$12.62 million.
Sulawesi Tenggara's balance of trade in December 2024 experienced a surplus of US$189.05 million.
