January 2025, Year on Year (y-on-y) deflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province was 0.39 percent

In January 2025 there will be deflation year on year (y-on-y) in Sulawesi Tenggara Province of 0.39 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.01. Deflation The deepest occurred in Konawe Regency at 1.24 percent with a CPI of 105.58 and the lowest occurred in Kendari City at 0.38 percent of the CPI amounting to 104.33. Kolaka Regency was recorded as experiencing inflation year on year (y-on-y) of 0.48 percent with a CPI of 105.53. 

Y-on-y deflation occurs due to a decrease in prices as indicated by decline in the expenditure group index, namely: clothing and footwear group of 2.37 percent; housing, water, electricity and home fuel groups stairs of 14.19 percent; and the information, communications and services group finance amounted of 0.84 percent. Expenditure groups that experience inflation y-on-y, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group of 2.40 percent; group of supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance amountingof 0.71 percent; health group of 0.29 percent; transportation group of 0.43 percent; recreation, sports and culture group of 2.14 percent; education group of 1.24 percent; food supply groups and drinks/restaurants of 3.19 percent; and personal care groups and other services amounted of 4.17 percent.

Sulawesi Tenggara Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation and deflation year to date (y-to-d) in January 2025 each of 1.45 percent.
