Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one of the economic data tools that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a region (province or district / city). This data tool can also be used for other purposes and purposes, such as the basis for developing economic models in order to formulate policy formulations, the level of velocity of money, financial deepening, taxation, export studies and import and so on. According to macroeconomic theory, GRDP calculation can be done through three approaches, namely: production / supply approach (GRDP according to industry / industry), approach to expenditure / final demand (GRDP according to expenditure) and income approach (GRDP according to income / income) . These three calculation approaches will theoretically produce the same GDP figures. This publication specifically discusses GRDP according to the final expenditure / demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditures, Non-Profit Institution Serving Household Consumption Expenditures, Government Consumption Expenditures, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventories), Foreign Exports, Foreign Imports, and Net Exports Between Regions (exports between regions reduced by imports between regions). GRDP data in this publication and subsequent publications use the 2010 base year, and have adopted the System of National Accounts 2008 concept.
