Abstract

    Southeast Sulawesi NTP in May 2019 was recorded at 94.06 or increased by 0.19 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.88. The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 87.17; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 94.88; Community Plantation Crop Subsector (NTPR) 85.23; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.60 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 115.97. While the National NTP Index was 102.61, up by 0.38 percent from 102.23.
  • In May 2019, 17 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 16 other provinces experienced a decline in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Yogyakarta Province which amounted to 2.01 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Aceh Province at 2.10 percent.
  • May 2019 Southeast Sulawesi Province recorded experiencing rural inflation of 1.42 percent. This happened because of an increase in the price index in six sub-groups of household consumption, namely the foodstuff sub-group by 3.17 percent; subgroups of processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.32 percent; housing subgroup of 0.06 percent; clothing sub-group 0.90 percent; health subgroup by 0.30 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.14 percent. While the transportation and communication sub-group registered a decline of 0.59 percent.
