Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Southeast Sulawesi in December 2024 increased by 2.13 percent from 113.48 to 115.90. This increase in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) increasing by 2.46 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increasing by 0.32 percent.

The NTP of each subsector is recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 96.80; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 107.61; Community Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 133.73; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.75 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 101.49. While the National NTP Index was 122.78 or increased by 1.23 percent from the previous month of 121.29.
