Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade as reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Notification Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. The commodities that have been Southeast Sulawesi's mainstay include iron and steel and various marine products, while the export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in October 2024 reached US$303.94 million or increased by 10.12 percent compared to exports in September 2024 which were recorded at US$276.02 million. In line with that, the export volume in October 2024 was recorded at 212.64 thousand tons or increased by 3.28 percent compared to the export volume in September 2024 which was recorded at 205.88 thousand tons.
The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in October 2024 reached US$115.39 million, up 0.71 percent compared to September 2024 or down 8.23 percent compared to October 2023.
The import volume in October 2024 was 299.40 thousand tons, up 6.18 percent compared to September 2024 or down 12.99 percent compared to October 2023.
The increase in the value of imports of the largest group of goods in October 2024 compared to September 2024 was mineral fuels of US$13.16 million (up 19.14 percent).
