Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib)
  • Farmer exchange rate is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. Farmer exchange rate also shows the exchange rate of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
  • Sulawesi Tenggara Farmer's Exchange Rate in January 2025 increased by 3.56 percent from 115.90 to 120.03. The increase in the farmer's exchange rate was due to the price index received by farmers (It) increasing by 3.23 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.31 percent.
  • The farmer exchange rate for each sub-sector is recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 97.71; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 112.58; People's Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 141.21; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 107.60 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 102.43. Meanwhile, the National Exchange Rate Index is 123.68 or up 0.73 percent from the previous month of 122.78.
  • In January 2025, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Sulawesi Tenggara by 0.43 percent, one of the causes of which was dominated by a decrease in the index value in the housing, water, electricity and household fuel expenditure group.
